It is with deep regret that we note the passing of our immediate Past President Mr. Alphonse Abbagnaro . He will be greatly missed.
Alphonse Abbagnaro of 565 Townsend Ave. New Haven died July 25, 2010 in the Hospital of St. Raphael. He was the loving and devoted husband of 55 years to Grace Minichino Abbagnaro. Al was born in New Haven November 30, 1928 to the late Joseph and Catherine Esposito Abbagnaro. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and later was the owner of Al Abbagnaro and Son Masonry. Al was a devoted parishioner and usher at St. Michael's Church and was the immediate Past President of the St. Andrew the Apostle Society. His greatest enjoyment in life was the time he spent with his family both at home and at St. Andrew's.
He was the loving father of Catherine Rose and Anthony (Michelle) Abbagnaro. Brother-in-law of Ann Minichino and Grace Abbagnaro. Brother of Josephine Carrano, Andrew Abbagnaro and the late Rose DeSenti and William Abbagnaro. Al is also survived by the love of his life, his granddaughter Alexandria Rose Abbagnaro, his nephew, Ben Minichino and several other nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Latte'. Al's family wishes to thank his caregivers Zaydee, Monique, Adria and Lorraine for the love and care they gave him.
